Do I need a Lamp or a Bulb?
Usually the term "Lamp" is used to describe a Lamp Assembly typically including a "cage" around a bulb that goes into a LCD or DLP Multimedia Projector. These projectors are used with Personal Computers, VCR, or DVD players. If you have an LCD or DLP Projector, it is most certain that your manufacturer will require you to replace the "Lamp Assembly" including the cage. Attempting to disassemble the lamp and trying to replace the bulb only, will void the warranty of your LCD or DLP Projector. Projector Lamp Center only sells manufacturer approved lamp assemblies for the correct projector.
The term Bulb, will typically refer to ANSI coded bulbs for Overhead/Slide Projectors or specialty bulbs for Medical, Dental, Automotive, and more.
